Photograph the face, back and any markings, and measure a sample. Sort suitable tiles and check matching accessories or replacements. New underlay or battens may still be needed beneath reused tiles; record any limits in the plan.

Record your preferences in the roof plan. Final dimensions, product suitability and the complete build-up are assessed for the actual roof; keep the agreed details and manufacturer instructions with your project documents.
